Located in the heart of Perthshire, Scotland, Murrayshall House was initially built in 1664. After exchanging hands through several Lords for more than 300 years, the house is now privately owned and embraces a new chapter as they grow and develop the 365-acre estate.
The review of the estate began in 2019, and Murrayshall Estate engaged PMP’s Project Management services to support them in realising their vision of optimising the Estate’s potential.
The ambitious development required expertise in strategic planning to ensure the client’s investment would bring out the best in the estate and meet the requirements which attract visitors and guests to the estate to enjoy its many recreational offerings. As Murrayshall Estate does not have an in-house property and construction team, they engaged PMP to deliver this service.
PMP undertook an estate-wide development masterplan advising the client on the best options to maximise the Estate’s potential.
PMP engaged a Design Team and liaised with external stakeholders and the planning consultant, taking the design through to a fully-costed RIBA stage 2 design brief complete with P&L analysis to best inform the business case and allow the client to make an informed decision on how to proceed.
The first delivery phase of the masterplan involved the relocation of the golf driving range to provide a new state-of-the-art facility and the development of a new spa and leisure facility, providing additional catering offerings for the resort.
