Project Overview
PMP has provided comprehensive support to the RNLI across its Scottish portfolio. RNLI lifeboat crews protect hundreds of communities around the UK and Ireland through our 24-hour search and rescue service. PMP was appointed to deliver a broad range of professional services tailored to its operational and estate needs. These estates are critical to RNLI operations.
Our approach
PMP delivers a tailored mix of professional services across the estate, scaled to the operational and estate requirements of each site.
- Condition surveys. Detailed surveys of residential coastguard properties — including those on the Isle of Islay — informing maintenance strategies and long-term asset planning.
- Alteration and refurbishment projects. Successful delivery across both lifeboat stations and associated retail premises. Notable locations include North Berwick, Arran and Stonehaven — carefully managed to enhance functionality, improve building performance and support the RNLI’s operational needs while minimising disruption.
- Planned and reactive maintenance. An ongoing role in the day-to-day management and upkeep of the estate, ensuring properties remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Statutory compliance. A regular programme of compliance activity including Legionella risk assessments and inspections, supporting the RNLI in meeting its health and safety obligations across the portfolio.
