Sometimes our work is to preserve and restore places of true significance like the work we conducted at Culzean Castle.
This glorious 260ha estate was once the playground of David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassillis – a man who was keen to impress with his wealth and status.
PMP worked alongside National Trust of Scotland (NTS) to prepare feasibility reports on costs, procurement, statutory consents, utilities and programme for the refurbishment of the listed and majestic Culzean Castle.
We successfully managed the project delivery to a high standard of finish ensuring that all historic details were preserved.
Some challenges included the utility selection and procurement, listed building consent, the presence of bats and working within the confines of a live tourist attraction.
The project was completed on schedule and within budget with minimal disruption to the Castle’s thriving tourist economy. PMP is delighted to play a part in the Castle’s proud history as it continues to thrive today for future generations.
