Scotland at MIPIM
PMP joins forces with our property sector colleagues to tap into MIPIM 2026 and put Scotland back on the world stage.
Earlier this year in May 2025, PMP alongside MLA, Civic Engineers and Saffery came together to call for urgent action to put Scotland back on the map at the world’s largest property event, which is held in Cannes in France.
The event, ‘Attracting Occupiers and Investment: Why is Scotland missing at MIPIM?’ attracted an audience of more than 100 representatives from the property industry as well as an expert panel. The purpose of the event was to ask the question, why is Scotland missing from MIPIM? It challenged perceptions, discussed collaboration and looked at strategic-term investment.
The panel members of experts included: Cllr Susan Aitken, Leader of Glasgow City Council; Louise Norris, Partner at Lindsays LLP; Jonathan Guthrie FCIAT, Director for Strategic Partnerships at Robertson Group; Lillian McDowall, Head of Business Development, SCAPE Scotland; Adam Russell, Investment Director, Drum Property Group; Dino Moutsopoulos, Managing Partner, Place North and Chair, Dan Whelan, Deputy Editor, North Place.
The event led to a consensus among the original sponsors that Scotland should be in attendance and play an active role in MIPIM in 2016.
Stewart Rutherford, PMP’s Managing Director, said: “PMP has joined forces with our property sector colleagues to tap into a global audience of investors and occupiers at MIPIM.
As a founding sponsor, we are financially backing Scotland’s place on this world stage. It is critical that investment opportunities are showcased and given the platform that Scotland deserves.”
Founding sponsors of Scotland at MIPIM are now PMP, MLA, Civic Engineers, Saffery, Drum Property Group, Robertson Group, Brodies LLP and OOBE – the eight companies will now lead a collaborative delegation to showcase Scotland’s ambition, talent, and opportunities on this global stage.
The delegation aim to build a powerful, united Scottish presence, and working closely with Place North have put together a range of partner packages aimed at maximising visibility and networking opportunities for us all. Place North have extensive experience from representing the North of England at this event.
To gather more support, the group has launched its own Linkedin page to connect with like-minded businesses, global investors, developers and decision-makers.
