PMP Backs Scotland at MIPIM 2026
As a founding Partner of Scotland at MIPIM, PMP is supporting its campaign as it gains momentum to bring Scotland’s property experts to France in 2026.
Scotland is now gearing up for a powerful return to the global stage at MIPIM 2026 – the annual real estate conference in France – as property experts come together to accelerate plans to put Scotland back on the map for global investors.
Last week, property experts attended a breakfast briefing event in Edinburgh to unveil plans in the year ahead as Glasgow City Council signs up to join the delegation.
Earlier this year, a taskforce of leading businesses and stakeholders from across Scotland’s built environment sector was established to ensure Scotland has a strong presence at the world’s premier property event, uniting public and private sectors to attract investment and occupiers.
Founding partners – including MLA, PMP, Saffery, Civic, Robertson Group, Brodies, oobe, Drum, and Place North – formed a working group to confront the critical question: “Why is Scotland missing from MIPIM?”
To answer that, the team is now driving a coordinated delegation of public and private organisations to the annual real estate conference in Cannes, France, which attracts more than 20,000 delegates from 90 countries – showcasing Scotland on the global stage and positioning the nation as a prime destination for investment.
Now, Glasgow City Council has joined the Scotland at MIPIM delegation for the 2026 edition of the global property convention. This will be the first time Glasgow has attended MIPIM since 2019.
“Investor and developer confidence in Glasgow is high and growing all the time – and this is a really valuable opportunity to showcase the city on an international stage,” said Glasgow City Council Leader Cllr Susan Aitken, who will be attending MIPIM 2026.
“Our message is clear,” she continued. “Glasgow is open for business – and to good quality development that benefits Glasgow, our economy and our people.”
Joining Aitken for the convention will be Cllr Ruairi Kelly, the city convener for housing, development, built heritage, and land use. Their attendance has been facilitated by Place Media Group through the Scotland at MIPIM programme.
At an event hosted by Brodies in Edinburgh, the delegation team heard from Johanne Murray, Head of Real Estate & Partner at Brodies, and a panel of experts that included: Graham Smith, Head of Investment, International & Innovation, Glasgow City Council; Jonathan Guthrie, Director for strategic partnerships at Robertson Group and Chair of Scottish Property Federation (SPF); Gerry Hogan, Director & Conservation Architect, Collective Architecture; and Lillian McDowall, Head of Business Development, SCAPE Scotland.

Scotland at MIPIM will now have a base at the official MIPIM conference within the UK Hub. The space will provide both partners and the wider delegates with a focal point to meet and discuss the investment opportunities available in Scotland.
