Project Description

112 Ingram Street is a purpose built commercial property, constructed circa 1898, designed by James Thompson. Originally design as a garment factory the building was laterally used by Glasgow City Council as offices.

The project aims to create a unique commercial office space in the heart of the Merchant City. Using key design feature of the listed property the architect has design interesting works space which will appeal to creative and design industries. Retail or restaurant space will be created on the ground and basement levels.

PMP Role

PMP are appointed as Project Manager and have a depth of experience in working with Listed Properties.

PMP in conjunction with Quantity Surveyor has developed a phased procurement strategy which allows the office strip out to take place whilst necessary statutory approvals are sought, and the fit out design is concluded. This approach has reduced the risk to cost and programme due to discovery during the fit out process.

PMP coordinate the various design, planning and letting consultants to develop a design which will meet the client requirement and satisfy statutory consultees such as Historic Environment Scotland.
