Meet our Edinburgh Team
As well as being the Group Managing Director, John specialises in Project Management and has a wealth of experience and a long track record in Project Managing multi-million pound developments in the commercial arena for a range of Blue Chip clients.
John’s broad understanding of construction and consultant roles enables him to provide intuitive leadership of the project team and a single point of contact to the client.
With almost 20 years’ experience in providing Building Surveying services, Stewart joined PMP in 2017 to lead the Edinburgh office.
Stewart has specialised in providing technical due diligence advice in all commercial sectors including offices, hotel and leisure, retail, healthcare, student accommodation and industrial. This includes the coordination of all technical due diligence consultants on large UK wide portfolios for private clients and institutional investors looking to acquire. Following acquisition, Stewart often becomes involved in the implementation of contract works to ‘unlock’ value in the asset.
Through acting as Contract Administrator Stewart has experience in a Project Management capacity, coordinating and progressing large refurbishment, alteration and new build projects throughout the central belt of Scotland and northern England.
Stan joined PMP in 1996 and is a Director. Following an apprenticeship as an Architectural Technician and spells in Building Control and Estate Management, Stan qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1994.
With over 25 years experience in the property industry Stan is an industry respected figure and can provide quick, independent and reliable advice on all aspects of commercial property and development.
Kevin joined PMP in 1998 after graduation from The Robert Gordon University.
While working for the company during his early years Kevin’s leadership and organisational skills came to the fore and he is now one of our most highly regarded Building Surveyors.
Kevin is an integral part of the Building Surveying team and his knowledge of the building industry is a great asset not only to his clients but also to the company as a whole.
Kevin is Director of Building Surveying in Edinburgh and provides valuable advice to clients in all aspects of Building Surveying.
Ashley joined PMP as a graduate surveyor directly from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh.
Ashley rapidly gained experience in the diverse range of professional services which PMP provides and achieved Chartered status in 2008.
Since becoming Chartered, Ashley has further enhanced his professional and steadfast approach to project delivery and contract administration. Combined with a depth of building appraisal knowledge, he has grown to become a well rounded and respected Building Surveyor and Project Manager.
Office Manager / PA
Susan has held the position of Office Manager / PA to John Dunn in the Edinburgh Office since PMP was founded in 1992. Prior to joining PMP Susan gained administrative experience in a variety of renowned Edinburgh businesses. Susan currently looks after Credit Control and the day to day running of the Edinburgh office.
Chartered Building Surveyor
David joined PMP in 2014 and is currently working towards full RICS membership by undertaking his Assessment of Professional Competence.
Having worked in various placements within the building industry, David graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University whereupon he joined PMP’s Edinburgh office focusing mainly on the residential and commercial industry. To date he has gained valuable experience in core aspects of Building Surveying, such as Dilapidations, Contract Administration and Specification & Design.
Robert has a decade of construction sector experience serving as a joiner before progressing to managing a diverse range of domestic and commercial projects. After graduating from University, Robert joined PMP’s Edinburgh Office as a graduate building surveyor April 2017 and is currently working towards his full RICS membership by undertaking his Assessment of Professional Competence.
With Robert’s previous construction experience he already has a good depth of knowledge in the construction industry and is further developing his skills in the core aspects of Building Surveying, such as Contract Administration, Design & Specification, Building Pathology and Dilapidations.
Meet our Glasgow Team
Joseph is a chartered building surveyor and joined PMP in May 2015, charged with heading up the Glasgow office and building the business.
Previously, Joe was Lead Director of the Scotland offices of Watts Group PLC, and sat on the firm’s Management Board. Prior to his 10years at Watts, Joe had spells in two national, multi-discipline surveying practices.
He has fifteen years experience in commercial building surveying, varied between transactional, legal and project related advice. Specialising in pre and post-acquisition Technical Due Diligence (including Development & Project Monitoring), and Dilapidations matters, leading to expert appointments, experience in mediation, and other forms of ADR.
Joseph also has 9 years’ experience as a guest lecturer on the Building Surveying course at Glasgow Caledonian University, currently responsible for delivery of the Dilapidations and Expert Witness modules, and regularly provides CPD and contributes to industry articles.
Angus joined PMP in June 2015 as Director, after a successful period heading the Building Consulting office in Glasgow for a Commercial Property Agency.
Since 2004 Angus has worked for commercial Building Consulting practices in Glasgow gaining valuable experience in all sectors, offering a full range of Professional Building Surveying services.
Angus is a member of the RICS, sits on the RICS Profession Group Board for Building Surveying and acts as an external assessor for the Building Surveying degree course at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Joe joined PMP in Glasgow as Director of Project Manager in 2015 prior to which he held positions with Gleeds, JLL and WSP/Parson Brinckerhoff.
Joe has worked both in London and abroad on number of high profiles projects, including Westfield London, New Broadcasting House, and the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.
A Chartered Member of the RICS, Joe has detailed understanding of the development process across a variety of sectors and is able to apply strong leadership and sound management to ensure they are delivered in line with key project objectives.
Anne Marie McGrath
Anne Marie has over 18 years’ experience in the industry as a Chartered Building Surveyor undertaking a variety of Building Surveying work which has latterly focussed on Project Management and Contract Administration of larger project work for Institutional and Fund Management Clients.
Anne Marie joined PMP in August 2016 as Associate Project Manager working alongside Joseph Dunn.
Prior to joining PMP, Anne Marie worked with Watts for ten years and Colliers International for five years.
Anne Marie is a member of the RICS and also is an Assessor for the RICS and sits on the panel for Candidates undertaking the Assessment of Professional Competence on the Building Surveying Pathway.
Chartered Building Surveyor
Kenneth, a Chartered Member of the RICS, has experience in both the industrial and commercial industry, and has experience in all core aspects of Building Surveying consisting of, acting as Contract Administrator, preparing Schedules of Condition, Dilapidations (Landlord and Tenant), together with pathology advice.
Emilio De Marco
Chartered Building Surveyor
After graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University, Emilio spent just over a year at FG Burnett focusing mainly on the industrial and commercial market. He joined PMP in 2015 and is now a fully qualified Chartered Member of the RICS.
Emilio has been able to gain key experience in core aspects of Building Surveying, such as Contract Administration, Design & Specification, Building Pathology and Dilapidations.
Office Manager / PA
Kara is our Glasgow Office manager and PA. With a BA in Business and Management, she has a strong administrative background and continues to expand her knowledge within PMP. Kara also looks after the company accounts as well as the day to day running of the business.
Previously, Darren was Lead Project Controller and then latterly Assistant Project Manager at Jacobs Engineering Group based at Faslane Naval Base working on a portfolio of various engineering and design projects in the Nuclear and Defence industry.
Darren has over 4 years’ experience in Project Controls and Project Management which has seen him achieve the Association for Project Management Project Manager Qualification (APMPMQ). Darren assists on a variety of PMP projects making use of his extensive experience in Project Controls and Monitoring. Darren will also be working towards developing his career in the Commercial Property Sector through APM Membership.
